Bio

Daniela Jost Guimarães is an EAL instructor, curriculum developer, and teacher educator with over 25 years of experience in English language teaching, academic management, and teacher training. She has worked with learners from young children to adults across a range of levels and contexts, including general English, business English, exam preparation, CLIL, workplace communication, and bridge-to-work programs. She currently teaches internationally educated Early Childhood Educators in Canada, supports curriculum and assessment development for sector-specific language programs, and is also developing a new course for internationally trained professionals and newcomers focused on Canadian workplace culture, communication, and integration. Daniela’s professional interests include AI-informed assessment, learner agency, multilingual adult education, CLIL, inclusive curriculum design, feedback literacy, and authentic workplace communication. Her current work explores how guided AI use, structured prompt libraries, and process-focused assessment can support learner voice, reflection, and responsible writing development in asynchronous ECE coursework.
