Bio

As a researcher, my work is tinted by my own experience of disability. My knowledge of how one navigates in a world built for normative bodies gives me insight about the shared experiences of unfairness. I was able to use this personal insight in a research about fairness of language assessment tests. My research focuses on the representation of diversity in television series. In master thesis, I analyzed the representations of diversity in the docuserie Formula 1: Drive to Survive. My doctoral thesis will focus on the evolution of the representation of meta narrative of disability in Canadian television series between 2010 and 2025.
