The CALA 2025 Fall Conference brings together educators, researchers, policymakers, and language assessment professionals to explore the dynamic relationship between theoretical frameworks, ethical considerations, and practical applications in language testing and assessment. This year’s conference focuses on innovations and challenges in the Canadian context, including the evolving role of artificial intelligence (AI) and generative AI technologies in educational assessment. Held at Mount Saint Vincent University in Halifax, Nova Scotia, this two-day event offers a rich program of keynote speakers, workshops, paper presentations, and panel discussions. Join us on October 5th for an unforgettable day trip to explore the iconic Peggy’s Cove Lighthouse and the charming town of Mahone Bay during their Annual Fall Scarecrow Festival. This small-group excursion is limited to 12 participants and offers a unique opportunity to experience the natural beauty and culture of Nova Scotia (additional fee applies). Spaces are limited; weather-related cancellations will be refunded in full.
